Blusher veils and 1st dress fitting

Today I had my first dress fitting. I hadn't worn the dress since I got it in October. When I put it on, all those girlie feelings came back. It still is definitely "the dress"! I just love it. The woman doing the alterations was very nice and funny too. I'm adding some oomph (her words) to my top half. :) That will make things a little interesting. I'm going to be so girlie the day of the wedding, I won't know what to do. I'll love it though. It'll be like the prom except way more expensive and the beginning of a new life as a wife.

Along with my veil, I got a blusher. For those who may not know, the blusher is the one that it would be front of my face. I liked the idea of the groom lifting the veil, seeing his wife and then they kiss. I put them both on today and for some reason, I wasn't feeling the blusher all that much. I was making my nose inch and just looked a little bulky. Then as I was looking at myself in the mirror, I started thinking when the blusher be lifted? Does my Dad lift it and then I just leave it up? Do I keep it down until the preacher says "You may now kiss the bride?" I would want my FI to see my face when we're reading our vows (writing our own) and during the unity candle ceremony. What if the flame gets too close to the blusher? That would be a Family Guy scene right there. I'm trying to be lovey dovey and poof, my blusher goes up in flames right in front of my face and then the fire alarm sprinklers go off and drench everything that we've spent so much money on. Okay, so I've gone a little too far but now I just don't know about the blusher. I did in fact buy it. I think it was $20 from DB. I don't know. Maybe I'll sell it. All in all, I love the idea of him lifting the veil but I don't know if the blusher is a good idea. What do you think?
