Let the RSVPs begin! Vroom vroom!
The invitations went out officially today. They've been in the mailbox since Sunday. Mail doesn't go out on Sundays, Monday was a holiday so today they have been sent out. I feel like such a bad bride for NOW getting them out. It's only 45 days left until the weekend. According to The Knot or every other bridal/wedding planning book I have, I should sent them in January. I planned on sending them out on February 9 but they are out now. They are out and now it is time to get the RSVPs back. From what I've read, this part of the process is very interesting. This will be the time where I will need to be patient and understanding and open-minded. Patient because I (we) may not get one in the mail everyday. Understanding because I need to know that some people might not RSVP with the pre-stamped card that I sent to them. They might call me or FB me or tweet me and saying "I'll be there 4-9-11". I have to be open-minded because some people might wait until a week before the wedding just to say "Damn! Your wedding is that weekend. I can't do it" In fact, I'll need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded with those moments. The only thing I thought about was where I do put the cards once I've counted them. I'd probably keep them somewhere just so during the week of "stalking people", he and I can double check the count and who said yes or no. Oh---what fun! I am sooo looking forward to that. :) Wedding planning, like everything else, is a process. Invitations and RSVPs are a big part so take a deep breath! Invitations, start your engines! Let the RSVPs begin!
