I love Reign

New SHOW alert -I have a new favorite show and this one is definitely different from anything on regular TV. We don't have cable but since I go to my father's house when I need a cable fix, I'm not in any hurry. My husband on the other hand...that's another blog. I absolutely am in love with the CW show Reign. Reign is a period drama television series following the early years of Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1557 France.

I love this show for several addicting reasons. I first love period pieces. Periodieces seem to be better with hitting all of the 5 senses. I think mainly because they have to. In order for the water or the reader to actually feel the show, they need to be able to taste, feel, see, hear and smell everything from that period. If not, it just looks like people dressing up in gaudy clothes with crazy accents. I love the drama that's around every corner. Queen Mary of Scot is in love with her fiance Frances who has sex appeal dripping from his hair but is adored by her soon to be brother in law Sebastian who is very much more adventurous than his brother. All of this while people are trying to kill her, including her soon to be mother in law (gotta love mother in laws!), her Ladies in waiting have their own dramas and....there's even some skankery in the mists. The cast is doing a great job so far. I was immediately drawn to it from the commercials promoting the show and have been hooked ever since. I give this show 9 out 10 stars. I couldn't give full 10 stars because it comes on at 9p when I usually go to bed at 8, 830p. Other than that, if you like period pieces, men with accents, and classy mistresses -you'll love Reign. It comes on the CW channel on Thursdays at 9p. Enjoy:)
