Marriage and moving

Hubby and I just moved into a bigger place-more space, more closets, just more. We needed to move. I hoped to have moved from the side of town we're currently residing but that didn't pan out. So we are literally a hop, skip and jump from our old place but I do love it. It definitely feels home...our home. It's ours --not just me moving in with him after we got married. It's not trying to turn a frat looking all-man alive spot to a place even half way suitable for a woman to live in. I was somewhat okay with all of the Colts everything around the house, fine with the idea of cookware being optional but the bathroom and the bedroom had to be fixed. It had to be done. After a year of that ladies, we are now into our place and I told him before we moved that I would be decorating mode for the next six months. You know how it is. You want to represent the both of you but keep things classy and nice. I've been surfing The Nest for ideas and it's been interesting. We've starting decorating and luckily he's been welcoming the ideas I've been presenting. All except for not eating or drinking in the living room. Don't get me wrong. I would love to drink a glass of wine in the living room while watching Love Jones but I'm trying to keep things as clean as possible. The place though is definitely home for me and he. I feel like an actual married couple. I did before but now ---this home is more defining. Heck, after all the apartment complex put us through, we're going to make sure that we enjoy this year.
